Missouri City straddles the Fort Bend and Harris county line, with most of the city in Fort Bend. Which side of that line your crash fell on decides where the case is filed, and the two courthouses are 30 miles apart. A Fort Bend case goes to the Fort Bend County Justice Center at 1422 Eugene Heimann Circle in Richmond; a Harris County case goes to 201 Caroline Street in Houston. The other thing worth saying plainly is that many Missouri City residents are injured somewhere else. US 59 and the Fort Bend Parkway carry commuters into Houston every day, and jurisdiction follows where the crash happened, not where you live.
